    The President of the Kent Education Association, elected by the membership-at-large, shall chair the Representative Council and the Executive Board.

    As Chief Executive Officer of the Association, the President shall:

    • Set the written agenda for the Executive Board and in conjunction with the Executive Board establish the agenda for the Representative Council;
    • Appoint Chairpersons and members of committees and commissions and fill vacancies;
    • Make expenditures authorized by the Association consistent with the KEA Constitution and Bylaws, the adopted budget, or other action of the Representative Council;
    • Act as the principal Association spokesperson, or delegate that function, subject to the limits of the Constitution, Bylaws, and Policy;
    • Be an ex-officio member of all committees and commissions, without vote;
    • Serve as a delegate to affiliate assemblies;
    • Review and resubmit annually all Association Policies to Representative Council by November 1; and
    • Perform and assume all other such duties as normally pertain to the office.
    • Expected to be a member of WEA-PAC and NEA-FCPE.
    • Give direction to the Executive Director.
